I HATE to work out. Growing up I was not athletic but was one of the lucky ones who could eat as much as she wanted and never gain weight. Well along came my late thirties and forties and that all changed...

I enjoy the atmosphere at Fitness Connection for Women. Everyone is very friendly and their staff is always ready to help. I also love the fact that I’m in the best shape in a long time and have gone down several pounds and 1 or 2 dress sizes. —Louise M.

Joining a fitness club was not a new concept for me. I had joined a club in the past, but after a few months it became a chore. I told myself I would never join another club. I tried to convince myself that I got plenty of exercise playing tennis and walking, which I enjoy.
Even though I felt physically fit the added pressure of the extra weight was starting to cause some pain in my knees. Then my daughter returned from her freshman year of college and was not happy with the extra weight she had gained after her first semester away. Together we decided to beat the weight gain.
We saw an ad in the paper for Butterfly Life now Fitness Connection for Women (FCW) and we were both intrigued by the variety of exercise offered. Then after visiting we found out that the club offers a new set of classes and group programs every month. No chance for boredom here.

I've joined other gyms, and it's always ended the same way... The only workout is me entering into my checkbook the monthly fee. My membership at Fitness Connection for Women was following the same pattern until Mary called me about Small Group Training. I was skeptical, but I said "yes." Now, almost year later, I can't believe I almost said "no." The changes have been incredible. More important than the inches I lost are the things I have gained: New friends who'll push me and cheer for me, laughter over dips and lunges and planks, knowing that I'm healthier and stronger than I've been in years, and a place to belong. —Judy M.
